According to online survey company E-consultancy.com (in association with buy.at) the affiliate marketing industry in the UK is BOOMIMG - and getting stronger! E-consultancy performed an in depth survey and research project on UK merchants with an affiliate marketing programme during the months of August-September, 2007, with 239 UK merchants responding to the online survey. The report states that there is a thriving affiliate marketing UK industry (so businesses and affiliates CAN be making money with affiliate marketing!), with 16% of the merchant respondents' average online income coming from their affiliate marketing programme. The E-consultancy Report also says that:- 67% of the responding organizations are now getting more sales from their affiliate marketing programme than they were two years ago. - 78% say their organizations are SPENDING more on their affiliate marketing programme now than they were two years ago, compared to only 7% who say they are now spending less. - 78% said they expected to be spending more as an affiliate marketing UK company in two years’ time. - Half of the responding organizations expected to have more employees managing the affiliate marketing channel in 2009 than in 2007. - Only 4% expected to have less employees involved in their affiliate marketing programme than were involved in 2007. What does all that mean in terms of making money with affiliate marketing in the UK?It means that affiliate marketing UK is ALREADY very healthy, and that just about every affiliate marketing company in the UK sees the need to cultivate this developing revenue stream even more significantly.
