Affiliate Internet Marketing Resellers - Some Definitions:Resell Rights vs. Private Label RightsAffiliate internet marketing resellers are entrepreneurs that you probably have come across if you've been exploring internet marketing affiliate programs for a while. They're the ones who are usually pitching you free or inexpensive extra "bonus" products to get you to buy the main product. You know, like "Buy this $600 software package and I'll throw in a bonus $49 ebook package - Free!" But just WHO ARE affiliate internet marketing resellers, and for that matter, what are some of these other terms that the "big wig" superaffiliates always seem to throw around? ...Words like Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights, and Private Label Rights? ...What are these, and what makes them useful to all kinds of internet marketers? Let's take a look... ----------------------------------------------- What are Resell Rights?Probably the easiest and most popular products on the internet to sell right now are digital products like ebooks and downloadable software. If you have the resell rights to an ebook on, say, earwax removal, for example, this means you can sell the book to someone else (exactly as is - no changes to the book are permitted), but the person you sell to cannot resell it. So the ebook had added value to you, as the buyer, by virtue of being able to resell it and keep 100% of the money, than the value it has for YOUR buyer. Your buyer can read and enjoy the ebook, and discover all the wonderful ways of removing earwax, but they do not have the rights to resell the ebook to someone else. What are Master Resell Rights?When affiliate internet marketing resellers have MASTER resell rights to a product, this means, in the case of the earwax removal ebook example above, that the book now has even more value than it did when you had just the regular resell rights to it. Now not only do YOU have the right to resell the ebook and keep 100% of the profits (like with resell rights, however, no changes to the book can be made), but now all of your customers and your customers' customers, etc. also get the value of not only receiving the information about earwax removal, but they also get to resell it and keep 100% of the profits as well. (Note - You DO want to read the fine print about how far the Master Resell Rights go - sometimes there's a limit). So how do Master Resell Rights benefit all participants? Well, the author of the ebook would undoubtedly have numerous links to various personal websites and products scattered throughout the book. So he is practicing "viral" marketing by letting that ebook be re-distributed to unlimited lengths by his affiliate internet marketing resellers ...and much faster too, than it would otherwise be distributed if he didn't permit Master Resell Rights. So the author is spreading his information about earwax removal ultra-virally, becoming known as an expert in the field AS WELL AS getting viral traffic to his other resources through links he has sprinkled throughout his ebook. The resellers obviously benefit because with the ebook now having Master Resell Rights, and therefore resell-ability to anyone who buys, that makes the e-book more valuable and therefore easier to sell and profit from. Just think of all the people in the world who would have clean ears in that situation! Due to this increase in value of the ebook, it often raises the price from what it would be without the Master Resell Rights. So Master Resell Rights benefit both the author (who spreads his name and personal links virally) as well as benefits the affiliate internet marketing resellers who make money distributing the ebook (or offering the ebook as a bonus to their own products or offering it in exchange for optin email information for list building efforts). Again - ALWAYS Make sure to check the Master Resell License Agreement. There may be stipulations as to certain resale price requirements or other factors that may apply. ------------------------------------------- What are Private Label Rights?Affiliate internet marketing resellers who find quality products with good Private Label Rights (PLR) are REALLY the ones who get excited. Why? ...What's so special about Private Label Rights? The answer... Flexibility. And the more flexible the PLR agreement, the more profitable the resellable product is. Let me explain. Let me go back to the earwax removal ebook just one more time (the last, I promise!). If you have no-restriction Private Label Rights to that ebook, you can now do anything you want with it. Not only can you resell it for whatever price you want and keep 100% of the profits, but you can also put your OWN name on it as the author, change the content any way you want, add more content to it, add images to it, subtract content or images - ANYTHING! (PLUS, if the PLR agreement you bought into has no restrictions, you can make up your OWN license agreement for the affiliate internet marketing resellers you sell your re-branded product to, and put as many restrictions on it as you wish!) It's advisable to most PLR authors and affiliate internet marketing resellers, though, to stipulate in the PLR agreement (at a minimum) to NOT allow your PLR buyer to use your name as the ebook's author. This is because now that the buyer of your ebook will have the right to change content, you no longer have control of the book's content, and you don't know what assanine thing the PLR holder might put in the book. You may not want to be associated with his or her version of the book. ...Say, for example, that the PLR buyer reformatted the information of the ebook to claim that using a steak knife in your ear was a good way to clean earwax - you probably don't want to be associated with that ebook anymore. ...(admit it, you're not going to forget this example, are you? :-) So Private Label Rights, with the associated extreme increase in buyer value for the affiliate internet marketing resellers, usually do not come cheaply. If it's a quality product, the author or original owner will probably (and understandably) ask for a pretty steep price, and get it. After all, the seller is giving up rights (depending on what's in the agreement), and the buyer is receiving a resellable product that he can totally brand as his own.
